How much does a website cost to set up?
The cost of a website build really depends on the project. We consider everything from the features and design needed to the complexity of the infrastructure and technology.
It’s also important to note that websites generally aren’t one-and-done products; they require monthly maintenance and upkeep to thrive on the ever-changing internet.
Am I bound by a contract?
You’ve got us for at least a year, and a lot happens in that first 12 months. We build your website, we optimize it and we provide the support you should expect from your website partner. After the initial 12 months, you can throttle your plan up or down as needed. Your plan will automatically continue on a month-to-month basis which can be canceled per our Terms of Service available on our legal page.
Is website hosting included?
We don’t include hosting in our website plan because every website has different needs. 8bitstudio has partnered with some of the most reputable hosting providers in the industry and we prefer to host your site. Pricing is determined on a site-by-site basis. Get in touch with us to talk about hosting plans. If you already have a hosting provider or want to host it yourself, that works too.

How long does it take to build a website?
This entirely depends on the project. The timeline varies depending on the complexity of the site and how quickly you can provide us feedback & content. On average a custom website can take anywhere from 2-6 months to build. Complex websites can take anywhere from 4-12 months to build.
What is front-end development?
Front-end development is all about creating the visible parts of websites or applications – the layout, design, and interactive elements that users directly engage with.
What is back-end development?
Back-end development involves building and maintaining the server, database, and application logic that power the functionality of a website or web application, working behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. It’s like the engine room of a digital experience.
